the href attribute tells the anchor where to go. the title appears on rollover and is useful for indexing.

alt attributes are useful for screen readers and if an image doesn't load or hasn't loaded. the src attribute tells img what to load.
id identifies the element in a unique way. you can link to this part of your web page. id values can be used only once in a webpage.
there are screen-reading and web app attributes (customizable) like role and aria attribute can help screen readers understand the purpose of a more generic element (like anchor)
